We are set to host one of the highest economic breeding index (EBI) auctions in Ireland on Friday 23rd February at 11:30AM at Thurles Mart. And features 100 pedigree registered freshly calved Holstein Friesian heifers.

All animals on offer have been export-tested and also have milk recording data available. This herd has an impressive average economic breeding index (EBI) of €230, with an average production of 7,200L, a fat content of 4.75% and a protein content of 3.7%.

Six heifers with an EBI exceeding €300 are also included in the sale, all from the renowned Ashberry herd, and were previously owned by Liam and Bernard Moore. The herd is vaccinated against leptospirosis, salmonella, and infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR), have excellent hoof health and have been bovine tuberculosis (TB) free for nearly 28 years. A recent TB test on February 9 confirmed the herd’s clean health status.
